Middle / High School Athletes
SAVE THE DATE! We will have two (2) last chance orientation / registration sessions for middle / high school athletes at 11AM Saturday April 12 AND April 19, 2014 at Valley Ranch BBQ, 22548 SH 249, Houston, TX 77070. The sessions are intended for school team athletes who wish to join for 2014 late spring / summer club track season after the school season is over.
The kickoff meeting is an orientation program that will cover the important information you need to join for this season. New and returning families should plan to attend this event. The program begins promptly at 11:00 AM. As a courtesy to the presenters and participants we ask that you arrive promptly at 11:00 AM. Please do not come late. Again, the "orientation kickoff" is mandatory.
Elementary High School Athletes
Elementary school athletes should be registered, tested, and practicing by Monday March 10 to be eligible to compete in the first track meet of the season.
All new and returning athletes (ages 6-18) and parents interested in the 2014 Track & Field season must attend the mandatory NW Flyers Registration / Orientation breakfast on February 1, 2014.

Elementary school track athletes should register and then begin practice on February 10, 2014 (or at least 4 weeks of practice before the first track meet on March 2014) to be eligible this season. Middle / high school athletes should register but finish their school season before reporting to practice.
For All School Age Athletes
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a member program of USA Track and Field (USATF), the national governing body for track and cross country. The club is in its 27th year in the northwest Houston area. Ages 6 - 18 may participate in the team, and both beginners and experienced runners are welcome.

Email Coach Carter to get on the email list and you will receive a free running training video.
Your completed registration should be turned in at the end of the orientation session.

2) After printing - complete the form, sign and provide all requested documentation.
3) If you missed the parent orientation meeting print the "NWF Program Summary", then the athlete and parent must sign each page to demonstrate they have reviewed the same information as the rest of the team.
4) Turn in all paperwork and fees to the team registrar at the end of the registration event.
Olympic Gold Medalist to Speak at Northwest Flyers Registration Breakfast on February 1, 2014

The Northwest Flyers Track Club will host its annual free information / registration breakfast on February 1, 2014 for all boys and girls and their parents interested in joining for the 2014 season. The breakfast starts at 8:15AM at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center Forum located at 6823 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX, 77379. All athletes / parents must be seated by 8:30 AM in order to register.
The event will begin with a special presentation from an Olympic Gold Medalist.
At the breakfast, our guest speaker will provide athletes, coaches, and parents an inspiring message for sport and life.
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a youth (age 6 -18) track organization, affiliated with USA Track & Field (USATF), that provides a full program of sanctioned “track” events such as sprints, hurdles, middle distance, distance, relays and sanctioned “field” events such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, discus, shot put and javelin. The Northwest Flyers has approximately 275 members, boys and girls. The club was founded 23 years ago by Olympic gold medalist Fred Newhouse to foster the development of youth track & field in the Northwest Houston area.
The Northwest Flyers is a member of the “Win With Integrity Champion” program, a partnership between USATF and the American College of Sports Medicine. “Win With Integrity” brings elite track & field athletes and school-aged kids together to promote healthy lifestyles, keeping active, and living with integrity through the sport of track & field.
