Newcomers and returners are expected to attend the mandatory team orientation session on Monday April 25, 2016 where they will receive a discount code that can be applied towards the online registration fee afterwards.

The NW Flyers Track Club youth track & field team kicks off the 2016 spring/summer season with registration and a mandatory orientation for parents and athletes on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The registration breakfast will be held at Cypress Creek High School (small commons), 9815 Grant Road, Houston, TX 77070.
You must complete the orientation to report to practice. The first practice will be held the Monday after your school team season ends (at 6:00 p.m).
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a member program of USA Track and Field (USATF), the national governing body for track and cross country. The club is in its 29th year in the northwest Houston area. Ages 6 - 18 may participate in the team, and both beginners and experienced runners are welcome. Middle school and high school cross country athletes that missed the orientation can still register now, but can compete after their cross country season is over.

The orientation program will cover the important information you need to join for this season. New and returning families should plan to attend this event. The program begins promptly at 10:00 AM. As a courtesy to the presenters and participants we ask that you arrive promptly to get seated. Please do not come late. Again, the "orientation session" is mandatory.
Elementary School Athletes
Elementary school track athletes should have registered on February 6 and begun practice on February 15, 2016 (or at least 4 weeks of practice before the first track meet on April 2, 2016) to be eligible this season. Middle / high school athletes should register but finish their school season before reporting to practice.
For All School Age Athletes
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a member program of USA Track and Field (USATF), the national governing body for track and cross country. The club is in its 28th year in the northwest Houston area. We train and compete in the USATF Cross-Country (Fall), Indoor Track (Winter), and Outdoor Track & Field (Spring / Summer) seasons. Ages 6 - 18 may participate in the team, and both beginners and experienced runners are welcome.
Your completed registration should be turned in at the end of the orientation session.

2) Complete the form, sign and then gather all requested documentation.
3) If you missed the parent orientation meeting print the "NWF Program Summary", then the athlete and parent must sign each page to demonstrate they have reviewed the same information as the rest of the team.
4) Turn in all requested documentation to the team registrar at the end of the registration event or at practice.
Olympic Gold Medalist to Speak at Northwest Flyers Registration Breakfast on February 6, 2016

The Northwest Flyers Track Club will host its annual free information / registration breakfast on February 6, 2016 for all boys and girls and their parents interested in joining for the 2015 spring/summer track season. The breakfast starts at 8:00AM at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center Forum located at 6823 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX, 77379. All athletes / parents must be seated by 8:30 AM in order to register.
The event will begin with a special presentation from an Olympic Gold Medalist.
At the breakfast, our guest speaker will provide athletes, coaches, and parents an inspiring message for sport and life.
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a youth (age 6 -18) track organization, affiliated with USA Track & Field (USATF), that provides a full program of sanctioned “track” events such as sprints, hurdles, middle distance, distance, relays and sanctioned “field” events such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, discus, shot put and javelin. The Northwest Flyers has approximately 275 members, boys and girls. The club was founded 23 years ago by Olympic gold medalist Fred Newhouse to foster the development of youth track & field in the Northwest Houston area.
The Northwest Flyers is a member of the “Win With Integrity Champion” program, a partnership between USATF and the American College of Sports Medicine. “Win With Integrity” brings elite track & field athletes and school-aged kids together to promote healthy lifestyles, keeping active, and living with integrity through the sport of track & field.
